Application Notice – ‘May I help?’ – Child Healing program 2009

1.    The aim of the application
The Community Foundation and MOL Romania announces an application for the support of programs based on emotional - and art therapy with the purpose of the psychological and social rehabilitation of children suffering of  chronic diseases or recovering from serious illnesses.
Types of programs which can be supported:
-    programs based on experience: group therapy, therapies carried out through the reception of personal positive experiences
art therapy programs: visual aids, music, individual or group creative activities through the help of movement, self expression

2.    The target group
Children suffering of chronic diseases, recovering from or constantly living together with serious illnesses (for example with diseases like  that of the blood – forming system, malignant tumours, respiratory, digestive tract, hormonal disfunctions, locomotor disorder , etc.)
Applications can be handed in by:
Non – profit organizations, which carry on well -defined activities, connected with aiming to applications.
Civilian organizations (foundations, associations)
We are asking that, in the case of child healthcare institutions, the one that is applying shouldn‘t be the institution itself, but the foundation which is in connection with it or another civilian organization.

Cannot apply:
Organizations which are not registered, parties, trade unions, enterprises.

3.The support which can be obtained
One can require support for all the expenses connected with the planned program (program expenses, cost of materials, assignment fees or rents, communication charges, carriage or travelling expenses, accommodation, food, etc.) The support which can be obtained is an aid that is free of charge.
The Community Foundation signs a contract with the winners, to which the organization has to attach, when signing the contract, the copy of the specimen signature from the bank of the official representative or the copy of his signature statement, certified by a notary as well as a declaration referring to the fact that the organization does not have public dept.

The support is offered by the Foundation in the form of forefinancing, about the spending of which, the applicant has to hand in a separate form, sustained by copies of invoices, within 30 days, after the carrying out of the program.
The upper limit of the aid which can be obtained through one application is 20,000 RON.
The period of the use of the support: November 23, 2009 – October 16, 2010.

4.The mode and deadline of the handing in of the applications
We can only accept the applications on specific forms, the form can be downloaded from the websites www.pentrucomunitate.ro and www.molromania.ro.
You have to attach to the application the following:
- the copy of the deed of the organization
- the judicial decree concerning the registration and the copies of the possible existing additional documents
- the short presentation of the applicant about the similar fulfilled programs in the last 2 years and of the estimate of the last 2 years
- the list of sponsors (if the organization has got other sponsors)
- the CV of the professional managers and dealers of the programs
- in the case of an organization functioning in an institution concerning healthcare the declaration of the receiving institution about supporting the program  
- articles, copies of appearances in the media (CDs, DVDs) of the earlier programs, of the professional results  

It is not possible to supply the submitted documents later.

5. Assessment of applications
The applications are analysed by specialists and the best are estimated by the jury. For a better knowledge of the application project, and, if it is necessary when assessing, the Community Foundation can ask in the representatives of the applications as well as the professional manager of the program for a personal interview .
One applicant can hand in only one application.

6. Decision and notification of the applicants
The final decision concerning the support is taken by the Board of Trustees of the Community Foundation until November 15, 2009. Every applicant is announced of the results in writing, as well as we will put the list of the supported organizations on the www.pentrucomunitate.ro and www.molromania.ro websites.

7. The handing in of applications
The application and the attachments have to be sent by post to the following address:

Please write on the envelope: Program pentru Sănătatea Copiilor 2009 [Program for the Health of the Children]. The applications received after the deadline cannot be accepted, and will be sent back by the Foundation without opening them.
