MOL Romania grants 350.000 lei for 493 young talents on the occasion of the 10th jubilee of the „MOL – May I Help? Program”

August 14 2015, CLUJ – Over 900 young athletes and artists have applied for grants from all over the country on the occasion of the tenth edition of the MOL – May I Help? Program. The funds have been raised this year to 350.000 lei, which has been divided among 493 young talents through the 138 winning projects.

Through the MOL– May I Help? Program we contributed to winning important medals by athletes from Romania at the European Games, the European Youth Olimpic Festival and other important competitions, held recently. On the other hand, by sponsoring young artistic talents we have shown our appreciation for everything considered to be beautiful.  The work of these wonderful youngsters with outstanding performances must be sustained every minute and we wish to continue being their reliable partner, as we have been for the past ten years – declared Kinga Daradics, Country Chairman & CEO of MOL Romania.

The Arts Jury selected 39 projects to be sponsored with 120.000 lei, while the Sports Jury selected 86 winning projects to be sustained with 160.000 lei in total. In the 18+ category the total amount of sponsorisations was 70.000 lei, and it was divided among 13 winning projects.

Among the young talents who benefited from sponsorizations through the jubilee edition of the May I Help? Program are Maria Claudia Gâdea, Andrea Miklós and Emil Imre, winners of the  gold medal at the European Youth Olimpic Festival, Alexandra Predescu, epee world champion, Adina Diaconu, European champion at table tennis, Ada Ciontu, winner of several international painting and drawing contests, and Malina Ciobanu, winner of more than 40 national and international prizes in violin.

Through completing the application process, youngsters gain the courage necessary to promote their talent. Whereas the Jury, broad-minded and having a vast experience, pays attention to both succesful and beginner talents – declared Imre András, the Executive Director of The Community Foundation.

About the Program


The MOL „May I Help? Program” celebrates 10 years since its establishment. The maximum amount of sponsorisation that can be obtained by an applicant amounts to 10.000 lei, and the funds can be used to purchase equipment and materials or to finance travel expenditures pertaining to sport and art competitions. From the total amount of sponsorizations of the 10th edition, 160.000 lei were assigned to the sports category, 120.000 lei to the arts, and 70.000 lei to the 18+ category.
